☉ 闭门却扫 【bìménquèsǎo】
　　[ live in complete seclusion sport one's(the) oak ] 关上大门，扫除车迹。指不与外界往来。也作“闭关却扫”。
　　例： 罢归田里，闭关却扫，塞门不仕。——梁·江淹《恨赋》

☉ 打扫 【dǎsǎo】
　　[ sweep;clean ] 用扫帚、刷子清扫垃圾灰尘。
　　例： 打扫房间

☉ 大扫除 【dàsǎochú】
　　[ give a thorough cleaning to;operation clean-up ] 彻底清扫环境卫生。

☉ 横扫 【hénɡsǎo】
　　[ sweep away；make a clean sweep of ] 扫荡；扫除。
　　[ stampede ] 形容势不可挡，所向无敌。
　　例： 横扫千军如卷席

☉ 祭扫 【jìsǎo】
　　[ sacrifice and renovate the tomb ] 到墓前祭奠亡灵，并打扫坟墓。

☉ 犁庭扫闾 【lítínɡsǎolǘ】
　　[ raze to the ground defeat the enemy completely ] 犁平庭院，扫荡住处，比喻彻底摧毁敌人。
　　例： 固已犁其庭，扫其闾，郡县而置之。——《汉书·匈奴传下》
　　● 也说“犁庭扫穴”。

☉ 清扫 【qīnɡsǎo】
　　[ broom ] 用扫帚扫除。
　　例： 清扫炉床
　　[ clean ] 清除(如刷、揩、刮)…表面的附着物。
　　例： 清扫人行道挣点儿零用钱

☉ 秋风扫落叶 【qiūfēnɡsǎoluòyè】
　　[ like autumn wind sweeping away the fallen leaves ] 秋风刮走落叶。喻强大的势力清除陈旧的东西，一扫而光。

☉ 洒扫 【sǎsǎo】
　　[ sweep sprinkle water and sweep the floor ] 用水喷洒地面，然后进行打扫。
　　例： 洒扫庭院

☉ 斯文扫地 【sīwénsǎodì】
　　[ the intellectuals are not respected or do sth. shameful cultural tradition toppled over disgrace one's scholarly dignity ] 不重视文化、不尊重文人，也指文人自甘堕落。

☉ 威信扫地 【wēixìnsǎodì】
　　[ with every shred of prestige swept away ] 名声、号召力和信任度急剧下降，丧失殆尽。
